Field Locations:
Atlantic 2 U10B
Atlantic 1 and 2 are adjacent to the Alameda Naval Air Station, near the East Gate. To reach the East Gate, take the Webster Street Tube into the City of Alameda. Follow Webster Street to the light at Atlantic Avenue. Turn right on Atlantic Avenue and follow it about one mile to Main Street. Turn left on Main Street and then take the first right into the parking lot.
Alameda Point
These fields are on the former Alameda Naval Air Station grounds at the west end of the Island of Alameda. Enter Alameda via the Webster Street Tube from downtown Oakland.
Follow Webster Street to the first light and turn right on Atlantic Avenue.
Follow Atlantic to the Main Gate. Once through the gate, continue straight ahead on Atlantic Way for oneblock. Turn right on Orion Street. Follow Orion to W. Midway Avenue and turn left on W.Midway. Follow W. Midway about mile to Lexington Street. Turn right on Lexington.
The fields are on Lexington, on your left as you approach. There is parking on the streets and also parking in the lot at the corner of W. Midway and Lexington.
Field 1 is in front of the bleachers and is used as an U-12 field.
Field 2 is behind and perpendicular to Field 1 on the right side as viewed from the street. It is an U-12 field.
Field 3 is to the left of Field 2 and is used as an U-14 field.
Field 4 is behind Fields 2 and 3 and is an U-10 field
To reach the Webster Street Tube:
From the north (Berkeley): Take 880 to 980 into downtown Oakland. Exit at 12th Street and continue straight ahead to 5th Street. Turn left on 5th Street and stay in one of the two left lanes. At Broadway, bear left into the Tube.
From the east (Concord): Take 24 to 980 into downtown Oakland. Follow the directions from the north.
From the south (Hayward): Take 880 to Oakland. Exit at Broadway and stay in the left lane. Turn left on Broadway and turn left again into the Tube.
Bushrod 2 - U12
This field is located in North Oakland on Racine Street between 59th and 60th streets. From Highway 24 going east, exit on the Martin Luther King/51st Street off ramp. Turn right at the end of the exit ramp, and immediately move over into the left lane. Turn left onto Shattuck, and then right on 60th Street. Follow 60th Street one block to the field entrance. From Highway 24 heading west, get off at the Telegraph Avenue exit. Turn right on Telegraph and then left on 60th Street. Follow 60th Street one block to the field entrance.Field 2 runs parallel & is next to Shattuck Ave.
Carter Park
Verdese Carter Park is at the intersection of 98th Ave and Bancroft Ave. in east Oakland. There are 98th Avenue exits on both Highway 880 and Highway 580 (Golf Links/Oakland Zoo exit if coming from the east, turn left and go under freeway, 98th Ave is the first intersection). Do not confuse with Verdese Carter School which is in north Oakland (Carter School)
Harrington
This field is on Bay Farm Island in Alameda. From the High Street Bridge entrance to Alameda, go to Fernside, which is the first stoplight, and turn left. Follow Fernside until it ends at Otis Drive. Turn left on Otis Drive and follow it across the bridge onto Bay Farm Island. Turn right onto Island Drive and follow Island Drive for about one mile to Fir Avenue. Turn left on Fir Avenue and follow it to Holly Street. The field is on the northwest corner of the intersection of Fir and Holly.
King Estates
Exit off Hwy. 580 at Keller Ave. On the WEST side of the freeway there is a frontage road called Fontaine St. Go SOUTH on this street & look for King Estates Middle School on your right.
Lowell Middle School
991 14th Street near the corner of Adeline. From Highway 980 heading West, take the 18th Street exit, proceed to 14th Street and turn right.
Merritt College C
Take I-580 to the 35th Avenue exit. Proceed east on 35th Avenue towards the hills. At the Warren Freeway (Highway 13) 35th Avenue becomes Redwood Road. Continue on Redwood Road up the hill and turn right at the second stoplight onto Campus Drive. After about a quarter mile, turn left onto the College grounds. Take the second left to enter a series of parking lots. On weekends, you may use any of the white painted spaces not reserved for special use. Bring two quarters to buy a parking permit, which must be placed on your dashboard (not required on Sunday). Walk across the basketball courts and up the ramp to the soccer fields or use the stairs from the innermost lot. The Deputy Sheriff will ticket improperly parked cars. ABSOLUTELY NO DOGS ALLOWED! Field C is the U10 field closest to the stairs from the parking lot. Please keep adults and children away from the discus/hammer throw cage.
Tillman U12
This field is located in the city of Alameda, on Bay Farm Island. It is adjacent to Bay Farm Elementary School.
From the High Street bridge, make a left turn onto Fernside Blvd. Proceed on Fernside until it dead-ends at Otis Drive. Turn left on Otis and cross the bridge. Turn right on Island Drive. Turn right on Robert Davey, Jr. Drive and proceed until it dead ends at the field.
Wood Track Field U10
The field is at 420 Grand Avenue just west of Otis Drive in Alameda. From the Webster Street tunnel entrance to Alameda, follow Webster to Buena Vista Avenue. Turn left on Buena Vista Avenue. Proceed about 1.2 miles to Grand Avenue and turn right. Follow Grand about a mile. After passing Otis Drive you will see the fields on the left side. Keep going until you have just passed Wood School. The soccer field is beyond the baseball field, on the far side near the fence before the apartments/condos.
From the Park Street Bridge entrance to Alameda, follow Park Street to Otis Drive. Turn right on Otis and follow it about .8 mile to Grand Ave. Turn left, pass Rittler Park and look for Wood School.
